QVC

Sorry to be pedantic guys, but QVC isn't an acronym. I know Wikipedia makes the same mistake, but ...

An acronym is "a word formed from the initial letters or groups of letters of words in a set phrase or series of words and pronounced as a separate word" (I'm quoting from dictionary.com). "QVC" isn't a word; it's a sequence of letters.

If you have to pronounce the letters individually, it's not a word and so it's not an acronym.

NATO is an acronym; radar is an acronym; TARDIS is an acronym. QVC is just an abbreviation.
